Advice to New APWH students
Well, we did it!
Thanks to all for your stout efforts. I cannot help but be impressed with your attitude and effort. You have done what was necessary and I hope the skills you developed will lead to further success in life.

The big day is fast approaching and because we all could use some help I'm giving Extra Credit for finding help.
For each website you find and review I'll give you five points. If it is one from which we all can benefit I'll kick it up to ten. Start surfing, I would start by googling "AP World History Review". Then tell us all what's out there. We'll do this one up to the day of the test.

The Wars
Well Fans, we are on to the World Wars now and the tumultous 20th century. I think it would be intersting to "research" these topics with some person to person surveying. If you can find someone (grandparent, teacher, etc.) who was alive and can remember the events of those years, have an informal chat with them.
Also, the themes of the course would be interesting to relate to the impact of the wars.
5 Themes of AP World History
1. Impact of interaction among and within major societies.
2. Impact of technology, economics, and demography on the people and the environment.
3. Systems of social structure and gender structure.
4. Cultural, religious and intellectual developments.
5. Changes in functions and structures of states and in attitudes toward states and political identities, including the emergence of the nation-state.
So get this: 10 points for recapping an interview on this blog and up to 5 points each for discussing each of the 5 themes. Put some thought into it! We can do this all the up to Spring Break. Some of you need the points!

New opportunity!!!
Compare and contrast the Boxer Rebellion with the Meiji Enlightenment. There certainly is something to talk about there. One point for each original idea (I'm the judge). Unlimited points, first come first served! Have fun. Game on.

The Long Nineteenth Century
Hey gang;
On we go the the long 19th Century...
I'm offering 10 extra credit points if you can explain a connection between the Frnch Revolution and the Industrial Revolution. I'll offer five points for making a connection between either the Haitian Revolution or the American Revolution and the Industrial Revolution.
Be creative!
All reasonable connections will recieve points. We'll run this exciting contest till Valentines Day.

Unit Three Test Special Q and A
