Thanks for finding this blog and welcome. I'm hoping that we can use this blog as a forum to further the intellectual exploration we enjoy in the course.
So let's start by giving me some feedback on the syllabus.
What do you think of the pace and substance of AP World History? Is there something specifically that you would like to see covered? Is there any advice you can give to your classmates? What are your individual goals for this course and beyond?

wow. Frist comment. lol Anyways, the Syllabus seems very fast paced but as my brother has warned me, it is to be expected. The only advice I can give to my classmates is DON'T GET BEHIND AND STAY ON TOP OF E~V~E~R~Y~T~H~I~N~G! As for my individual goals, ahhhh...I'm not really to sure myself ^^; But for sure I want to be able to get at least a B or higher in this class (an A if possible) and I want to be able to pass the AP test but that's about it, well, for now at least. Well, the first day of school is over now, it was a bit of a rush, but it was fun. Thanks Parker^^

I like the blog good job!
I don't know quite what to say, like Karen i to hope to get at the very least a B in this class. I hope that you enjoy teaching me as much as I have been enjoying learning from you so far!
Good luck with the blog!
Kito (Keith Rayburn)
P.S. It would be super awesome if you could record your lectures and post them on this!
Ok I've been here. I'm done.
I think this page needs a little more...but it will get better.
The only thing I can say about the syllabus is that I'm not as scared as I should be. I know I can do the work, but I just can't motivate myself to do so. I'll get it in time I guess.
I'll be waiting for an improvement on the blog!

parker you're cooool !=]
yay !
i like the blog.
it's hip .
:D
Hey I'm not that late! I thought I'd be the last one to leave a comment but I'm very glad I'm not. I thought the syllabus was great I really like how you took the time to plan out everything so that we know what we will be doing every single day. I am very much looking forward to getting an A in your class, even though I know it's going to take a lot of hard work. About the blog I think it needs a bit more decorations and more links to helpful resources but, it's actually pretty good; oh and like Keith said I also think it would be very cool if you could record yourself telling a lecture and the we (your lovely AP students = ])could hear it on your blog. that's all for now Mr.Parker

hey mr P i went to try to look at an article dating back to 1911 of the new york times on the san jose library website n it said i wasnt allowed to look at it because im not a student or staff but about the blog its cool i like it up to date with the technology
Exciting i guess haha :] it was confusing getting here
Anywho, i'm glad that so far most of what you've said already i can relate to it from Guns, Germs and Steel(movie).
omigosh. this blog is so cool! green is the way to go!! i was just wondering why the offer on the Gilgamesh extra credit is only good until the twenty-seventh since we're starting the book next week...will that due date be pushed back?
btw...the syllabus is awesome! i love having twenty pages that explains what we'll be doing! lol
wow. i'm sorta late on posting a comment. pretty good job on the blog, parker. gotta give you props. so far, i'm struggling a bit with the class, but i doubt that it's anything i can't handle.

i enjoy your class Mr. Parker.
you are very enthusiastic about teaching us.
i also like the fact that you write out our homework ahead of time.
so i guess i had better get back to me definitions!
The syllabus looks stuffed DX
I hope we can study Japan for a while >_<
(It's an obsession thing.)
Hey Parker, I'm commenting on the blog(finally)
The syllabus looks like we'll be moving quickly, but that can be a good thing. Great in fact. To my classmates: Always stay on top of the work, if you have free time, use some of it to get ahead. Especially if you're in band or playing a sport (or drama depending on how close to a show we're getting), things can get pretty hard to finish the night before.

P.S. You spelled "National" wrong in one of the links. Just thought I'd point that out and hope that you'd fix it...Well, eventually anyway.
Fixed it. Thanks for the heads up.
i find it strange that you(mr parker) gives the quizes/tests BEFORE the lesson..right guys?(backk me up on this) haha..
kidding,..
as a lazy kid who just listens to discussions and does not plan to read books for reviewing and stuff.. i am FORCED to read for my own grade..and i think that helpd me a lot.. tahnks mr parkr..i respect yer way of teaching..
and oh.. anothr thing.. since i am a new student ,, i was not aware that ap classes are supposd to be hard and stuff..and that when i knew that.. i became intimidatd to do better..thats all..
by th way,..cool blog..

Thanks Stan.
This is a difficult class. We will all get through though.
Peace.
Hey Parker,
I'm planning on turning my essay into you tomorrow, but just wondering as I want to get the best score I possibly can, is there any chance you'd let us E-mail you the essay as to get more drafts into you before the due date?
Thanks for offering all the extra credit.
