i would love to see a continuity/change over time essay question on Britain before and after the industrial revolution.
Thesis:
The ways people in Britain lived changed emensly during the industrial revolution between the way they traveled, the government, and the products made/who made them. they stayed the same however, with the social structure and how people on the bottom were mistreated and expected to do all the work while the nobles spent there time enjoying the products and new inventions.

Thesis: From 1600 to 1900, Japan continued hating foreigners, and strove to keep their culture by not being influenced by the foreigners. The Japanese changed by replacing samurai with armies equipped with guns and eventually falling into foreign hands through the demand of free trade.

I would hope to encounter a C/C essay comparing the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty.
Between the period of 753 BCE and 600 CE, the Roman Empire and Han China exhibited numerous similarities; including the usage of canals/roads,very militant armies, and in the facilitation of trade. Although sharing these simmilarities, the two empires differed in their family structures, style of governments, and in the way they regarded foreigners.
I would like to see a CCOT on the Industrial Revolution:
During the long 19th century the Industrial Revolution changed global communication by the addition of railroads and steam boats while also changing labor systems alongside the abolition of slavery. A few things that remained the same during this time period were the low status of women and the large demand of European goods by foreigners.

I would really like it id they asked a ccot about medieval Europe, and post-Ind. Rev. Europe.
My thesis would be this:
pre-Industrial Rev. Europe was full of kingdoms with a feudal monarchy ruling. People would spend all of their day either making food, clothing, or farming the fields for their lords. They did not like their lives, but didn't know of a better one. post-Industrial Rev. Europe still had monarchies and people still hated the government, but the last remains of feudalism were crumbling. Also, the technological advances from the Industrial Rev. created easier ways to make food and clothing, so people could concentrate on things that they couldn't before.

If I could pick what topic I wanted for the test I would want a prompt along the lines of compare and contrast the goals and aftermaths in china in 1911 and Russia in 1917 because the information would be more fresh in my mind.
My thesis would probably come out like this:China in 1911 and Russia in 1917 had many similarities and differences in their goals and outcomes of their revolutions. For example differently china was looking for democracy, while the Russian revolution was intended to create a communist country. Similarly, both the Chinese Revolution and the Russian Revolution were started for social equality.-Bianca O
I would like to see a question comparing the labor systems of the 19th century I feel im stong on that.
Labor systems in the 19th century varied from european slaves to russian serfs and eventually developed from local slave trade into global slave trade all due to the massive industrial revolution. The revolution allowed slaves to be traded far more easily, in more bulk and across further distances, such as China to the Americas and the Americas to Europe, the slave trade was global.
I hope that the prompt will be a compare and contrast; although, i'm getting a really good feeling it won't be. But anyways, a question like: Compare the similarities and differences between the Russian Revolution and the Mexican Revolution.
My thesis would go something like this: The Russian and the Mexican Revolutions were both majorly caused by people hating their countries' rulers and gained a new ruler in the end; however, the Russian Revolution and the Mexican Revolution were different because the Russian Revolution caused their government to change to communism and gained help from the Bolshlevics* and Germany to win the revolution while Mexico didn't use any aid from other countries during their revolution.

I'm going with a Compare and Contrast about the lives of women in Islamic culture and in Western culture between 1500 and 1900.
Women in Islamic and Western cultures between 1500 and 1900 were generally considered inferior to men, although women could and did rule some Western countries and were in public, while there were almost no female rulers and women were expected to be veiled and in private in Islamic countries.
I would love to see a Compare and Contrast on the Safavid's vs. the Ottomans during the peak of their empires. My these would look like this:
Beginning with the 16th and 17th centuries, there were various similarities and differences between the Safavid and Ottoman empires. They were similar because the Safavid and Ottoman empires were gunpowder empires, and the power that they gained through the years eventually declined. They shared differences like the fact that the Safavid empire was officially a Shi'ite empire and was the shortest lived empire out of all three gunpowder empires.

I would like to see a compare and contrast essay with the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty.
Thesis: Many civilizations ruled in the eastern world early in history, but the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty were two of the longest lasting civilizations and had many things in common; they both have social structures that revolve around the wealthy, and both have a religion that honored benevolence, but they were also very different; women in Rome had more rights than those in China, Rome depended on the higher class of people for the well being of the state when the Han tried to keep the wealthy of the empire from having too much involvement in government , Rome had Christianity as its main religion in the later years of the empire and the Han followed Confucianism and only Christianity really spread.
